Use Puppy

At the Character select screen, highlight Galford and press ,
then press any button .
(Note: If you are playing a vs. CPU game as Poppy and the second player joins in,
you will end up using Galford for the rest of the game (unless you die and re-enter the Poppy code)).

Galford's Secret Win Pose

If you get a Perfect win in the second round with Galford, one of Poppy's puppies will
show up and run forward, only to stumble and land on it's stomach.

Sleeping Chanpuru

Pick Mina and input to make Chanpuru go to sleep. Repeat the command to wake him up.
Normally, Chanpuru will hop backwards to your location, but if you input again,
he will fall asleep in mid-jump. Useless but fun.

(D) Button Strong Slash

In the following examples, pressing will make your character perform a mid-air AB slash:
- As Basara, have your opponent block or get hit by the Sashi Ashi( jump and press ),
then, hold and press .
- As Shizumaru, jump and use the Kosame().When Shizumaru open his umbrella
and begin floating down then, hold and press .
- As Suija, perform the Engetsu( jump and press ).
Then press in any direction but and press .
- As Yunfei perform any of the "Shichiyou" moves,
( jump and press ).
Then while falling, hold and press .

Red Blood(Debug Code)

Normally, the blood in the game is white.
To make it Red, at first make your game settings to 'Arcade'.
Then Go to Test mode(where you can select different mode for your game).
Then do the following things :
- Choose "Setting up the Soft dip"
- Choose "SamuraiShodown 5"
- Go to the sixth option. It reads "Violence/SP" if the game is set to English,
or "Zangyaku Level" if it's set to Japanese.
- Set that option to Level 3. In English, you can choose "Level3/With" or "Level3/Without."
